VP, Commercial Loan Relationship Manager

Senior Commercial Loan Relationship Managers are responsible for cultivating relationships with prospects and generating new business to meet budgeted loan growth. These individuals also manage a complex, diversified and high yielding loan portfolio of existing customers. The incumbents build and maintain the highest visibility in the local community through their networks and referral sources.

Essential Functions:

  • Proven track record of cultivating new lending opportunities that can be developed into strategic relationships within Delaware, Southeastern PA, and New Jersey
  • Engage with and network among centers of influence involved within the community to support the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) initiatives
  • Ability to cross-sell products, along with proven sales and product expertise with business clients
  • Universal knowledge of commercial loan products and processes
  • Strong credit training and experience
  • Ability to maintain an assigned portfolio of diversified, high yielding, commercial loans in a manner that maintains customers through exceptional servicing and value added products
  • Actively works with all business areas to develop and maintain cross-selling opportunities
  • Extensive contacts within the commercial real estate industry and business community in the tri state area

Knowledge & Skills:

  • A robust rolodex and established relations in Delaware, Southeastern PA, and New Jersey
  • Well developed and extensive sales and negotiating skills
  • A proven ability to negotiate, close and build profitable commercial customer relationships
  • Collective understanding of commercial credit loan transactions including financial statement analysis, loan documentation and related legal and compliance requirements
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in WORD and EXCEL required

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Banking experience with a minimum of seven (7) years in commercial lending is required
